Dr. Pete graduated from high school near Pittsburgh in 1970, and attended the University of Pennsylvania as a pre-med student. In lieu of medical school(he actually considered attending medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico because of his Spanish speaking ability), he actually followed his childhood chiropractor’s recommendations by attending chiropractic school.
He enrolled in Columbia Institute of Chiropractic (now New York Chiropractic College) and graduated in 1978. He entered private practice on Long Island, New York. Dr. Pete began expanding his expertise in natural healing methods shortly thereafter.
He first enrolled in a Masters Degree program in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport in 1980. He got certified in Acupuncture by the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture in 1981. Dr. Pete continued to expand his clinical expertise with certifications in Clinical Thermography, Diagnostic Ultrasound, and Physical Fitness and Sports Injuries. In addition, Dr. Pete has advanced certification in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, as well as the Evaluation and Management of Idiopathic Scoliosis.
While practicing in New York, Dr. Pete treated many athletes, including the New York Arrows soccer team, the New York Tech basketball and track teams, as well as many members of the New York Jets football team.
In 1982, Dr Pete moved to Pennsylvania to practice. There, he owned and managed a multidisciplinary, multi-doctor facility. During the years in Pennsylvania, Dr. Pete also served his alma mater, NYCC, as a regional recruiter and on the Board of Trustees for three years.
In 2003, Dr. Pete sustained injuries in an auto which prompted him to sell his practice and move to Florida. After 2 years of an “extended sabbatical”, he decided to open “Quantum Vitality Centres” in April, 2006.
